Fleets and networks are approximations for the prototype and are scaled to the model. Source: Laker Airways page (exact): three DC-10s (the third arrived April 1974 and a fourth in 1976), about 1,000 employees in 1976, advance booking charters from 2 April 1973 (Manchester to Toronto, 45 pounds return), Skytrain announced 30 June 1971, approved by President Carter on 14 June 1977 and started 26 September 1977; collapsed 5 February 1982 with debts of 270 million pounds. Before Skytrain the Atlantic flying was charters: the modelled New York route stands for it, at the lowest fare the Atlantic corridor allows (0.85 of the reference fare).
